Hoi An, with its quaint mix of ancient Chinese and Japanese architecture,
is a beautiful place that has the character of a small fishing village.
It's been "discovered" by the tourist trade and I fear for Hoi An
when I think of what that's done for countless places like Sedona.
Thuy loves Hoi An and talks of retiring there. A long discussion after
dinner at a roadside cafe there is where we first started to get to know her and
any mention of Hoi An will always bring warm thoughts of our friend Thuy.
